Heavy investments are steaming ahead

Kokpunkten, the fine old steam power station, will be celebrating its 100th anniversary next year and to celebrate the occasion the building will be given a face lift. Once one of Sweden’s largest producers of energy, the power station is now being transformed into an industrial-romantic dream on the shores of Lake Mälaren and will be home to a brand new hotel – The Steam Hotel.


WOW air and Stockholm-Västerås to launch new flight routes to the USA and Iceland

enabling passengers the opportunity to fly to three new destinations from Västerås Airport. It is the Icelandic budget airline WOW that will be flying from Västerås and the destinations of Reykjavik, Boston and Washington.
